After working with agency Make and the University of British Columbia on several occasions/campaigns over the last 2 years, I was extremely pleased to work with them again on their most important shoot of the year, the Viewbook. The idea was to focus on individual stories of real UBC students to inspire high school potential student to choose UBC as their university. It was great to work again with Art Director Cesar Banares and producer Kiran Kaur over a 5 days shoot at the Vancouver campus and Kelowna location in the Okanagan. [Read More]
A quick blog post to share one of my latest editorials, a portrait of Chip Wilson for Vancouver Magazine. The idea was to shoot him looking over a nighttime cityscape as if taken from outside the window. I shot him in studio on black background and then shot multiple images of Vancouver at night. The last Vancouver Magazine is out with a cover shot by yours truly. We had the opportunity to shoot behind the scene of a fantastic TV show called Motive, that has been produced and shot in Vancouver by Lark Productions and Foundation Features. Since they were actually shooting the last episode of the second season, we had to work around the production schedule and make the most of the limited time that superstar actors Kristin Lehman and Louis Ferreira had between scenes. They were both fantastic and very easy to work with, especially Kristin who found the energy and concentration to pose for 4 different setups between takes. [Read More]
