Just a few weeks ago I was chatting at a party with an art director of a local agency, we were discussing photography and he asked what was my favourite subject to shoot. A type of question that usually finds me unprepared, but not that time: very powerful people.
So it came by surprise when a couple of days after that conversation, Brennan Higginbotham at Vancouver Magazine called me to shoot a big feature for their upcoming issue, the yearly Vancouver Power50 list.
These are very successful and often photographed people, so I really wanted to shoot them with a distinctive and different point of view, almost intimate.
